Miles Kelley: I fell in love with music at an early age. I grew up with a sister who was 10 years older than me and I inherited her taste in tunes. At the age of 8, I joined a breakdancing class at the boys and girls club and instantly fell in love with all things hip hop.
Who inspired you to make music?
Miles Kelley: My parents were both singer/ songwriters and I grew up listening to alot of classic Rock and Jazz music. Artists like The Beastie Boys, Tupac, and Eminem inspired me to start rapping and freestyle battling as a kid.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Miles Kelley: I would describe my music as “Life Music” which is music about real life situations and emotions. I aim to never lie in my records and try to connect with people on a real and authentic level.
What is your creative process like?
Miles Kelley: My creative process involves marijuana, caffeine, and/or alcohol. Then all I need is a dope beat and a microphone.
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Miles Kelley: My top artists I would love to collaborate with are Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Snoop.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
Miles Kelley: Thoughts become things!💯
What is your favourite song to perform?
Miles Kelley: I love to perform all of my songs, but my best reaction from the crowd thus far, has been from my song “life is okay”
The crowd went crazy and sang the lyrics back to me the whole time 😁🤘
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Miles Kelley: The best advice I’ve been given was to “choose my reality and live in it”
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Miles Kelley: I would change the pay for play aspect of the industry. I think promoting yourself should be more cost friendly to independent artists. I’m happy to see more platforms opening up to help us independent artists expand 🙏
What’s next for you?
Miles Kelley: BIG things are in store for me!! I’m looking forward to a world tour and collaborating with major artists from all over the world! 🌎 Making progress one stage at a time.
